 SQUIRREL  FACTS

When building nests squirrels can damage buildings by chewing.

They can chew through the siding, soffit and facia and eaves.

They will make your home their home.

When building a nest, they can chew on insulation and wires, which can be a fire hazard.

Keeping trees trimmed and away from your house will also help to keep the squirrels away.

FACTS ABOUT RACCOONS:
Raccoons are looking for something to eat. An unsecure trash can lid, pet food left outside, and gardens are just a few things that will entice a raccoon to your home/yard.
Raccoons will often make your attic or chimney their home.
When living in your chimney, they will clog it with their nesting. The best prevention for this is to have a custom chimney cap put on.
Never light a fire in your fireplace to attempt to get rid of nesting. If the chimney is clogged the smoke will come down the chimney and into your house.

To access an attic, a raccoon will remove shingles, chew holes in fascia boards and will even damage vents.
